The birthplace of democracy

Greece is our second Southern European branch, established after Lisbon earlier in the year. The Athens branch is policy and research-focused and explores topical themes such as the Eurozone crisis and the rise of populism in the face of this. It seeks to involve the Greek youth, politically among the most disenfranchised in the EU, in a process of rethinking the European project and Greece’s unique role within this. In addition to its policy work, it promises to be active in its outreach efforts, engaging with stakeholders and the General Public on issues of current affairs relevance to Greece and the EU.
